gmt-tutorial software package provides Data files needed to reproduce the tutorial examples of GMT, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gmt-tutorial
gmt-tutorial is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gmt-tutorial package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gmt-tutorial *
You will get with gmt-tutorial package name, version, architecture and description in a table
